By Sam Joseph, CEO & Co-Founder, Hakimo
Today I'm proud, grateful, and more energized than ever to share that Hakimo has closed a $12 million growth round led by our existing partner Zigg Capital, with continued backing from Vertex Ventures, Neotribe Ventures, Rocketship.vc and Defy.vc. This brings our total funding to $32 million.
A number in a press release is never the real story, though. What this round actually represents is a vote of confidence — from our investors, our customers, and our team — in a simple belief we've held since day one: physical security is broken, and it doesn't have to be.
As founders with extensive experience in AI and enterprise software, Sagar and I knew that physical security is one of the industries that will be transformed by AI. That insight led us into conversations with security operators, property managers, and enterprise teams, where we saw firsthand an industry relying on people to do an impossible job. Those conversations became the foundation of Hakimo. The more time we spent inside real security operations, the more we couldn't unsee the problem. Buildings had invested in cameras everywhere, and no one was watching them. Guards were expensive, stretched thin, and asked to stay alert through the night, staring at walls of monitors where nothing happens 99% of the time. Access control systems generated so many false positives that the real ones got lost in the noise.
The industry's answer had always been the same: hire more guards or operators, or just ignore the problem altogether. We were convinced there was a better way, not to replace the humans who keep people safe, but to give them the intelligence to do the impossible: actually watch and respond to everything, everywhere, all the time.
We layer AI intelligence onto the camera infrastructure a building already owns, no rip-and-replace, no new hardware, and turn passive footage into real-time, actionable awareness. The result is that a single operator can now monitor what used to take ten. Our customers are seeing up to a 60% reduction in security incidents alongside meaningful savings on guard costs.
The market also responded. Over the past year, we tripled revenue year over year, grew to more than 300 customers ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to iconic buildings to multifamily communities, and doubled our team. We also launched AI-Powered Forensic Search, which has helped establish Hakimo as the most comprehensive AI security platform on the market today.
This round lets us move faster on all of it.

Every camera we bring to life, every alert we sharpen, every operator we make ten times more effective, it all traces back to one thing: keeping people and the places they live and work safe. That responsibility is not abstract to us. It shows up in the residents who feel more secure in their communities, the on-site teams who get to make proactive decisions instead of reactive ones, and the operators who no longer have to choose between cost and safety.
To our team: Thank you for pouring yourselves into this mission.
To our investors: Thank you for your conviction.
And to our customers: thank you for trusting us to help protect what matters most to you. This one's for you.
